Giclees (pronounced "jhee-clay") are the finest method of art reproduction available today. Giclee is a French term meaning the "spraying of ink". It describes a technologically advanced way of producing fine art. The original woodcut is digitally captured and then printed on a sophisticated ink jet printer that is specifically designed to offer a greater resolution than achievable by normal printers. The ink and paper, both used in printing a giclee, are archival and will last for 200 years before any fading will occur.
All giclee prints are individually signed by the artist, Stephen Huneck, and numbered in a limited edition series. The image size is 13" x 10.4" with a framed size of 22" x 19" in Maple and 21" x 18" in Black.
All large giclee prints are part of a limited edition of 500, signed and numbered by the artist. Measuring 10.4" by 13" unframed and 19 1/4" by 23 1/4" framed, the large giclee is a great investment for any collectors home.
The small giclee prints, measuring 5.6" by 7" unframed and 13" by 14 1/4" framed, are part of an open edition series and add a great conversational piece the whole family can enjoy.
